Andy mccurdy

President/CEO

Andy McCurdy, LEED AP is President/CEO of Gifford Construction. Andy has over 25 years experience in managing and administrating large scale public works projects on behalf of both the owner and the contractor. Andy is a graduate of the Construction Management Program at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Andy’s construction management experience has entailed working as a liaison between project owners, designers, agencies and contractors. Andy has been with Gifford Construction since 2006.

Vice President/ General Superintendent

Skip Barker is Vice President/General Superintendent. Skip has worked for Gifford Construction since 1977 and is a licensed general contractor. Skip’s notable projects include Turtle Bay Museum, Win-River Hotel and Casino, State Compensation Insurance Building, Redding Library, Shasta County Administration Building and Shasta Orthopedic Center.

 

rick reiser

Treasurer/CFO

Rick Reiser is the Treasurer and CFO for Gifford Construction. He has been with the company since 1994. Rick is an attorney and an accountant. He graduated from The University of California – Berkeley and Hastings College of the Law. He is responsible for contractual relationships with owners and subcontractors. He is also in charge of the accounting and insurance functions of the company. Rick has been successful in mediating and resolving disputes and avoiding litigation.

Scott Farmer

Project Manager

Scott Farmer is a project manager /superintendent and has been with Gifford Construction since 2019. Scott is a graduate of the Chico State University Construction Management program and has several years of practical construction experience prior to joining our team.

Dale Benton is a project manager/superintendent and has worked for Gifford Construction since 1988 and is a licensed general contractor. Dale’s notable projects include the Redding School of the Arts, Foothill High School, 250 Hemstead Office Building, Avtech Parkway Office Building, US Forest Service Office Building in Redding and McConnell Foundation Guest House.

MATT JENSEN

Superintendent

Matt Jensen is a superintendent and has been with Gifford Construction since  2014.  Working construction since his teenage years, Matt is very mechanical and has a wealth of experience in most all of the trades.

Dale Icenhower

Superintendent

Dale Icenhower is a superintendent and has been with  Gifford Construction since 2014. Dale has has supervised a multitude of commercial building and public school projects. Furthermore, Dale has an extensive background in structural concrete, thus adding value to our team.

JUSTIN ELIASON

Superintendent

Justin Eliason is a superintendent and has been with  Gifford Construction since 2018. Justin is a graduate of the Construction Management Program at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Justin has been exposed to a multitude of construction projects since joining our team.

ROBERT NORRIS

Superintendent

Robert Norris is a superintendent and has been with  Gifford Construction since 2019. Robert is a licensed steel fabricator and erector. He brings a wealth of project experience to our team.

Cyndy Swan-jackson

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR

Cyndy Swan is a contract administrator  and has been with Gifford Construction since 1988. Aside from her duties as a contract administrator, Cyndy handles all aspects of keeping updated with certified payroll and prevailing wage issues. Cyndy manages multiple projects and has a wealth of experience in construction document control from the bidding stage through final completion.

JANET TOWNSEND

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR

Janet Townsend is a contract administrator and has been with Gifford Construction since 1990. Janet has been the contract administrator on a multitude of our largest projects, most of them being negotiated. Janet manages multiple projects and has a wealth of construction document control experience from pre-construction through final completion.

SAM OSBORNE

controller

Sam Osborne is a controller at Gifford Construction and started in September 2023. After 20 plus years in the construction trades, he switched to a career in accounting, graduating from Chico State with a degree in Business Administration in 2011. He served as a manager in local government mainly in financial reporting/business operations, before coming to Gifford. He is a licensed CPA.
